Question Warning light and limp mode

I'm having problems with a 2002 1.2 16v Clio (D4F engine). The orange warning lamp in the centre of the dash (looks like a diesel glow-plug light) will sometimes light when driving. This weekend when the light came on, the car went into limp mode, limiting the revs to about 1700 until the engine was re-started. After re-start, everything was fine and the light was off.

I attached a friend's fault code reader to the ODBII port which showed a stored DTC; P0225 - Powertrain: APP Sensor 3 Circuit.

Does anyone know what this refers to? Is it the motorised throttle valve?
