If the TDC /Crankshaft Position sensor is faulty it will cause starting problems and sometimes running problems.If the Camshaft Position Sensor is fautly the engine will still usually run,but like a bag of s##te!.

99% of the time the TDC sensor is at fault as small metal filings from the flywheel/clutch area stick to the magnetic pick up and block the signal,hence why cleaning it usually has a positive effect.The Camshaft Position Sensor is usually placed in an area where metal fragments are less of a problem......

Now there's 2 sensor?!

Indeed excellent post..pls can you give us the location of the other camshaft position sensor? Or if possible pics pls. 1 rep point for you

In my part of the world the TDC also known as engine speed sensor which is the crankshaft position sensor.
