Left hand side , take hand brake cable of the caliper and see if it will go back , if iys been seized a while , soak the part that the lever connects to the caliper, if it moves backwards and forwards, even slightly when you have done this then should just need a cable,
Drivers side make sure the lever goes all the way back to the stop ,,,,
Once you are happy it needs cables/caliper , tighten the hand brake up on the adjusting nut just enough that the levers stay touching the stop lever,, sort your footbrake out, pipes, bleeding, once you are happy with the foot brake then readjust the hand brake, slowly tightening the adjuster nut to remove the slack, if you tighten it up to much, your rear brake pads will bind on , so carefully adjust until you can feel the hand brake slightly starting to bind, but enough that you can still turn the rear wheels, then by the time you have driven it back to the garage for an mot the brakes will have bedded in enough for it to pass on the brake tester,
