right update on this....
The sensor is functioning correctly, when cold the resistance started off high and as the engine temperature increased the resistance dropped accordingly.
So I then tested the continutity of the wire from the sensor as far back as I could (being just past the
, before the wire enters the cabin) and the wire is fine up until this point.
I tested the dials by running the self diagnostic mode, and the coolant tempertaure gauge did move through a series of tests. So what can be wrong? My only option is to try another set of clocks, as im guessing the fault lies within the unit itself.... unless somebody knows any common faults which I can try before hand?
This car is going to have a list of never ending problems I can feel it!
