O.k conducted the voltage test and initally the coolant gauge pin had 0.06 volts and then it slowly dropped to 0.01 volts, I tested it four times and it remained at 0.01 volts. The fan pin has 12.65 volts, which explains why it is operational and the other isn't!

I guess it could be a faulty regulator, with a very low voltage coming to the pin!! That would make sense now, guess its time for some new clocks!

cheers lee

Edit - from what I understand from previous threads the power supply to the connector is generated through regulator which is intergrated into the clock unit. What could be the chances of the regulator not recieving 12 volts? But then it doesn't explain why that pin has a very low voltage if the regulator had no power.
