AFAIK the difference is only electrical. The internal door release is a cable. External it's the handle. But on the proximity keycard cars, there's the extra button & wireless sensor. Also the door wiring loom is different. If the handles are different, your bloke will need to strip out the lock, 1/2 the window mech. There'll be a lot of swearing, well there was when I had to do it. Have a search, there's a post about how to remove the handles, dead easy after the first time.
