Temperature display shows false reading

Hey all,

Just recently the temperature display in my Clio has been showing temperatures between 18 and 30c! Now unless I'm having a permanent cold flush and it actually is very hot outside, I'm thinking the sensors are faulty? Are these those little lumps on the bottom of the wing mirrors?

I did have some idiot reverse into the front of my Car at college a few weeks ago which cracked one headlight, broke the seal on the other and has broken the plastic clip securing the front bumper, whilst also shifting the car in the process. Could it be coincidental that this has started to happen? I can't recall if it started directly after that incident or whether it was a bit longer after but either way, it ain't right!

Is there a fault finding process for this? Or should I mention it to the repair centre when it goes to get repaired for the bump?
