Exclamation RS***304; rev counter shows wrong

Hi mates,
Today I've finished having my car's instrument panel's lights with leds. Now it's pretty good, everything is well but there is one major problem.
Refitted all the panels and started my engine. After some km,with my friend had some fun but noticed that the rev counter is showing in a wrong way.According to counter, the engine cuts at about 5200rpm? But I'm sure that the machine does about 6000s. At 2nd gear it makes about 95km,this is normal of course. No doubt about the power of the engine. There is a fault but I'm not sure? Do you think that, somehow while I was fitting the leds,I turned the rev counter accidentaly or something like that because I also changed the facing of the inst.panel by a new plexiglass.
If you can give me some information,I'ld be glad. Thanks alot.
