Re: Can a second hand car have too few miles?!

The Merc S-class of the 1980's generation was the first vehicle to feature ABS as standard. (developed by Bosch)

The first vehicle to have them as an optional extra (I believe) was the Jensen Interceptor FF. (Girling)

But the 1985 Ford Granada MkIII was the first mainstream car to have ABS fitted as standard.

It was a system first developed to aid aeroplanes when landing on short runways or 'poor grip' conditions, then adapted for cars.

We're quite a ways 'off-topic', but as the OP hasn't objected, and it's a good conversation - it's fine with me.

Anyone remember the first attempt at a runflat, the Dunlop Denovo?

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
