You say it won't polish out - what have you used?
Car Polish/wax isn't abrasive enough - you should give rubbing compound/cutting paste a go - but only apply it gently by hand using a damp cloth (out of direct sunlight).
This should help restore it a treat (apply some wax after to seal in the shine).
If there are still some marks remaining, I have listed methods to repair scratches in the 'How to' section of the forum.
