hi as for the service light issue who ever serviced your clio should have reset the service light as part of the service its standard practise. with the brakes being hard one minute and soft the next there is a problem there somewhere it could be an air leak or the brake fluid might need to be changed the brake fluid should be changed every 2 years irrespective of how many miles you do and no you don't need a Renault dealer just phone around and get some prices first so your not ripped off
