Hi Jason - personally I don't trust their computers.
As a spark I assume you have access to a multimeter.
To test the glowplugs in situ., make sure the ignition is off - disconnect each lead and measure the resistance betwen the live connection pin of the plug and earth - it should be 0.6 Ohms or very close.

To test the power supply - you can either use a test lamp or meter. Connect up to each glowplug power connector and watch while someone switches on the ignition and measure the time (around 15 seconds) - once the engine is started it should continue no further than 10 seconds. You may need to do this test on each plug as sometimes they are wired in pairs.
