Picture one is a flair end that has not had a convex,bubble end first so the side walls will split when tightened, He has gone for a concave end without making the convex end first Picture two, The pipe was too low down in the clamp and not formed properly in the centre , again it wont seal properly , he will have to overtighten the connector and it will crush the outer section before the inner section will seal, again giving a chance of a leak
[Its not really a good idea to clean brake pipes if the tester has condemned them]
It will always be on the M O T system , One mot tester failed, but after that initial test ,where they have failed,another mot guy has passed them because he can not check them properly because the pipes are covered in grease and can only advise.
If something did happen, dont think it will be the MOT tester who would be in trouble, but the guy who owns the car because he had been advised on the day the condition of the pipes .......
