Proper xenon headlights are a big improvement over the standard unit but the 'bulbs' cost a fortune to replace. They do however last much longer. Conversion kits are available but avoid the cheap blue H1/H3/H4 lamps for about £10 -£20 off of
as they‘re just a gimmick and they are not the same. The 100W versions sold are even illegal in the UK.
True xenon lamps kits come with a high voltage electronic control gear so watch what you are doing as they can give a jolt of several thousand volts and cost about £100 a set (another severe jolt). They can also discolour non UV stabilised plastic headlights but I believe the Renault original units are OK.
