Fortunately, it wasn't my local dealer, who in fact is very interested and helpful. But it does seem to be symptomatic of after-sales service with some dealers.
I'd have to say that my Honda dealer is excellent in all aspects of follow-up on my Type "R", which is now into its fourth year. Actually, their approach is making my decision to move service to my local, trusted, mechanic, quite difficult.
Not so with the Avantime - except, the comments you've had from your dealer about your
seem rather petty and unnecessary. Just leaves the door open to them to say "Well, alright, we'll fix it but it'll cost ya!"
I hope you can get that sorted satisfactorily.
