Thought the advantage of the chain rather than the belt was not giving it any thought!

Is there an engine management light on the dash which can be blanked or do you simply get read outs once you turn on the key?
1. IMO way more reliable. Had it for almost 2 yrs & over 45k miles - no problems bar some seals blown in exhaust/ turbo (hot part) joint.

2. There's nothing to worry, chain tension is checked once, at 125 k miles, roughly halfway of engine lifespan.

3. Dash is a TFT display with some control lights, which in theory could be blanked, but with any warning light comes a message on the display, which is harder to delete. I assume you won't be buying it without a testdrive, during which most warning messages would (re)appear. You can check last messages by clicking buttons at the end of an indicator stalk.
