If your carefull you can sometimes cut round the seal that bonds the glass to the lamp assembly and remove the lense, then just clean and re-stick with windscreen sealer or similar. You'll need to remove the headlight first, obviously.
You could remove the headlight and then take out all the electrical gubbins and try washing the whole unit in some warm soapy water, but it is difficult to get anything into the back of the headlight to clean the lense, and they will also take a long time to dry out properly otherwise they will condensate up and cause more problems!.
You could try and make up a thin cleaning tool using a long screwdriver with a piece of foam taped to the end of it and just take the bulbs out and clean them in-situ,but you won't be able to access all the lense and you risk damaging the pattern reflectors.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
