No not the same, but they are similar

MK7 Transits come in 4 lengths, with 3 different roof heights available in any length.single or twin side loading doors.
The vivaro or reno copys come in 2 lengths with low or too high roofs.
If you want to carry a tool box then a reno is going to do the job.If you need a proper van then they would have chose transit and that's why its been the number one van since 1965 and nothing is going to change anytime soon.
Drive a decent transit and you will find out why.

When sabine schmitz said 'she could do that in a van' guess which one she favoured for the nurberg ring?

Had the van been a mk7 140 or a transit custom and not a mk6 she would have achieved it.
