My answer was that they will consider purely on financial matters.
That may include buying price, possible resale value, service costs, rated mpg, whatever deal Ford or whoever is offering and quite possibly anecdotal or historical reliability.
And what the buyer had for dinner when the Ford sales team took him out and quite possibly, personal opinion.
To think that decision is based on how good the vehicle is, is blinkered and IMO wrong.
To use the decision to try to show how good the vehicle is, is equally wrong.
May be based on how bad the last or previous fleet vehicles were but even that isn't a given
