Sorry, over the limit is over the limit, no matter if its the next day or you moved your car a few yards, a kid can still run out in front of you and it could have been his child. The limit is set for a reason you can't start moving the boundaries it would get too complicated. The guy in the car park could have just parked his car, though in this case it does seem a bit strong as he could have proved he was topping up his parking and not intending to drive (I thought you weren't allowed to top up your parking anyway). I believe you can buy breath testers, so if you go out but are driving the next day it might be wise to get one especially if you have only had a couple of drinks, a full nights binge will take until the following evening to get out of your system. In an ideal world we could all get tested to see a what point we are effected by alcohol, the majority of us would be ok with a glass of wine with a meal, but there's always the one who is under the table after a small shandy, if we knew our limit and stuck to it the world would be a safer place, but that will never happen. I've worked in A&E and seen the aftermath of a drunk driver, scenes that haunt me now, its not just the death of a person its the destruction of a family and the psychological effect on the people in attendance. It's just not worth it.
Another bug bear of mine is parents who don't fasten their kids in the back seats, I once saw an accident when mum put kiddy wink on her knee and thought it was safe because she was holding him, they were involved in a head on and she crushed the child into the seat in front. I know its illegal not to fasten passengers in but how many of us have seen back seat passengers with unfastened seat belts.
Get them fastened, if you are in an accident that back seat passenger will become a missile that will kill the people in the front seats, who ironically will have fastened their belts.
