Re: Buying an Espace Initiale 2.2dCi - what to look out for?

Thanks for the advice Mark

So I went to have a look and a test drive of the car today...

Everything inside was great. I really like the layout and styling. Very impressed with how it's designed and how many different options of seating is available in the back.

The engine however, was hilariously bad. I noticed immediately whilst driving it a lot of blue smoke coming out when accelerating. Also when we stopped at some traffic lights, I could smell burning oil . When we stopped back at the garage it was literally pi55ing oil out of the bottom of the engine.

It's fair to say I wont be buying this one. I did think about making a stupid offer, but I really can't be bothered with having to diagnose problems with an engine I don't know much about.

I guess I'll keep looking, but I'll look for a 2.0dCi instead of the 2.2
