its easy to replace, once you got the parts.

two wooden dowls to hold grip the cable, 20mm thick, dril a 3mm hole through them.(handles). 5-10m+ 1~1.5mm wire on a spool. stanley knife, screwdriver(flat), wallpaper scrapper (long flat edged). window suckers(to pick up glass)

remove the plastic windscreen surround.
take off the windscreen wipers, then remove the scuttle panel. (this gives full access to the front edge of the windscreen)
on the inside remove the A-pillar inner trims(gives access to inner edge of window)

(starting at the bottom, then the side) using the knife cut into the edge of the sealent to make a through hole to get the cable through. do one at the top and then at the bottom.thread the cable through. (you can do with one if you have an assistant (one handle inside, one outside) then draw cable through and run back and forth to slice through the mastik seal.
work your way around so one side then the other are sliced through.
put sucker grips on , then lift it off.
mind out for top inner head lining and the rear view mirror(it will get in the way)which is why 2 persons are removing are recommended until you are experienced in removal.

once off use a flat edge blade to cut off the remaining mastik on the glass, then do the same on the car screen surround.
apply sealant to the frame, smear it to flatten out a bit, you can put a thin smear on the glass around the edge(where the original mastik was) leave for a few minutes then fit glass to car frame.

once on and mastik is sealed around the frame, check for visible gaps, apply pressure to glass over wide area to elimate gaps.
Refit the windscreen trim around the frame. adjust glass position so its centered correctly.

i will recommend TIGERSEAL Marine/Automotive PU mastik (20 or so, per tube(at least thats how much it was at a ship chandlers the last time i needed to buy some)cheaper on ebay ) or one that is approved bonding mastik for windscreens.
(dont use cheapo 2(ish) RTV sealants as they wont last long (ones that smell of vinegar during curing is utter rubbish.)

job should ideally be done with temps above 10'C
leave car for 30min for mastik to settle.
