We now need a new wiring loom which will cost about #450.
Check the box, as previously detailed on here. To recap, look behind the engine for a 3" x 4" steel-plate box (it may have a long number stamped on it too). Grasp it firmly (with the engine not running., for safety) and see if it is loose. If so, this is likely to be the source of the problem as it may have damaged the wiring. Typical chafe point is where the wires come out of the left side (as you look at it) and into the engine loom. Providing the wires aren't right through, it may be possible to re-insulate.
