What car is it? if its a megane or scenic II the pink wire may be a broken clutch switch wire, is the other wire black? you can by pass this by trying to start it by the brake pedal. what happens is the clutch swith wiring is too short and over time stresses and snaps causing no start from the clutch pedal - open circuit. the wires need extending but if the break if right over the terminal then you will have to source some new pins and some terminal crimpers, it might be a trip to renault.
