1.9 dci laguna tuning

hey im new here. iv recently got myself a 1.9 dci laguna 2, iv already unplugged the maf sensor and blanked the egr valve and iv got a bit extra out of it. just wondering what other people have done to these engines to get maximum power from them. also i would like to know peoples opinions on changing the turbo core or should i just buy a new unit? any help would be appreciated thanks

Re: 1.9 dci laguna tuning

If you started anew thread in the engines section regarding the turbo you are more likely to get replies.

You say you disconnected the MAF sensor - can you explain why and what benefits were gained??

Re: 1.9 dci laguna tuning

Disconnecting the MAF sensor forces the ECU into default mode (not the same as limp mode). If default mode improves performance then there is something else wrong.

Default mode is where the ECU resorts to default parameters and ignores some live data feedback form various sensors. You are unlikely to gain any increased performance as long as the MAF is disconnected.
