Hello and welcome. A couple of points to mention
1: A lot of Renaults have a habit of leaking water in around the radio arial. Although it may seem like it's coming through the sunroof. If water has leaked into the car be wary as the water drips onto the central locking sensor and can cause it to malfunction. Many owners on this forum have posted this problem but it can be fixed relatively easily if caught in time.
2. From my experience head gaskets seem to be a slightly weak point. Take off the
filler cap and check for a white mayoniase type substance. If any is present it may be a head gasket. Also take out the dipstick and smell the
. This may seem strange but if the
smells of petrol or there is any sgn of water in the
then you have a problem.
3. Fuel consumption will vary obviously with driving conditions but you should expect around the mid 40's to a gallon (petrol).
4. One small point to make is there are now several Meganes in scrap yards now so if you ever need second hand parts they are fairly easy to get hold of.
