This would be a recipe for disaster!.We see 3 year old cars for their first MOT with 80 or 90,000 miles on them!.As far as I'm concerned a car should have an MOT every year,regardless of age,and I'm not just saying this because I want to be busier!.An MOT test is a basic safety inspection(you'd be surprised how basic!) and as such contibutes to road safety far more than many people might think.I have failed many 3 and 4 year old cars on things that were down right dangerous.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
