I would srongly advise against a DCi laguna. I have the 2001 6-speed version for the last 16 months, to date I have replaced 3 egr valves, 4 turbos, 2 vacuum pumps, driver and passenger electric windows, and finally I replaced the full set of piston rings cause of excessive oil burning. It has 130 K on the clock, which is not much for a diesel
Geez, that is one expensive motor. After I bought mine and did a search (I know I shoulda done a search before buying it), I was worried about the
valve problems, and hence intercooler and
problems to follow.
I did have a rough tickover which occured after a few miles when I first bought it. I cleaned the
valve and had it serviced and things seem alright. touch wood.
I am gonna keep mine a little while longer, I don't use it that much now as I have a works van. Probably sell it when finances allow me to buy a newer model.
