When you pumped your tyre back up, did it seem ok then?
Did your mechanic check for any other damage.
Does it seem to be self centralising when you release the steering wheel, any feeling of crabbing at all.
( Just my way of thinking this next question) are you sure he has balanced your tyres correctly?
Did he say what was up with the handbrake, apart from it not working, Or did he not go that deep into that issue.
There are lots of threads on here, regarding EPB,
There is one at the moment just been posted in the thread/post of the week, have a read of that, save it and show it your mechanic.
He will not be offended, mechanics love info.
