Scenic Locking & Alarms

I am not alone!
A brief update that there is a weight of opinion that if the car 'thinks' it is unlocked, it will then release central locking or set of alarms.
A common culprit is the bonnet-open sensor switch which was fitted by Renault UK as the afternmarket alarm system.
Mine is on the right hand side (from the front) of the bonnet towards the bulkhead.
In this location it is prone to get damp and cause corrosion and potential problems.
However in my case I also had a very noisy solenoid for the fuel filler flap which could also be linked with the problem.
This has been swiftly changed under warranty so fingers crossed. xxxxxx
