Blimey that's a strange bunch of things to do to change a battery! Didn't have time today so will tackle it later.
Not sure I fancy changing the clutch until it gives trouble! I never treated the clutch as a service item?
One more point, I need to fit a tow bar, anyone advice on good makes? My main worry is connecting the electrics as the car is more complex than the old scenic.
Mord, I suppose, is right re everything but clutch. Unless he's thinking it's easier for access to take the lump out & do it ALL "on the bench", in the warm & dry, so to speak.
Thermostat- Battery end
sensor clean - Battery End
Electrical "tune up" Battery end
Timing, water pump, idlers & Aux belts other end + under tray, So do
& Filters Too.
Towbar 12n or 12N + 12S or 13 pin? Not IMHO the towbar that matters, Generic will do, It's the wiring, as you say. Should be able to do it with Mr Haynes help for wiring colours, I'll have a look at mine see if there's +12 in the boot. Or it's a fat wire front to back for the split charge box. May be easier to pay rather than doing electrics yourself.
Suppose if you still run the Mk1, you could do the Mk2 without rushing.
