Ok I checked all the fuses at the end of the dash and the one behind the ashtray - no joy. Am I right in thinking to check the fuses in the engine bay I should disconnect the battery? NB it says you can do engine fuse number 1 to emergency stop the engine, for instance if the turbo has gone, but I guess you wouldn't want to get too close to the engine if that happened...

I can't see how to remove the glove box lining - is the laguna likely to have another fuse box there?

Btw, the 20 amp fuse did not seem to do the stereo (at least not completely), would still eject a CD from the dash. Did sound however like the changer in the boot was doing stuff... Could it be a fuse for the cigarette lighter?

Any further suggestions much appreciated. Get the feeling will have to give the garage a call on monday
