thanks for your help, i got the wheel cylinder off and had a new bearing fitted for 12.
i fit the hub on last time myself, that time it came off. i think that it was because of the bearings not being fitted properly, or it could have been the way i fit it. all i did was press the hub on as far as it could go, then fit and tighten the nut. i tightened the nut using a breaker bar and socket. the rac mechanic asked if i had hand tightened meaning did i use a breaker bar. is it wrong to use a breaker bar. i had done the same thing with the rear left bearing over a year ago and havent had any problems with it at all. it was a simple fit and tighten. also, is it ok to use a regular 20mm nylock and 20mm washer. the nuts that come with the bearing have a flat bottom where as a regular nylock doesnt have this. i thought that maybe using a washer would help.
