I cant be bothered with the argument but as I work in insurance, Trust me!
Most you get is £100 deduction in a write off and a delay in the claim whilst you claim "you forgot". Comes down to past case history now but MOST insurers wont bat an eyelid.
Doh, my mate just scrapped a honda prelude as he had no mot after a lorry pulled into his side, and basically wrote it off.
he lost about £3- 4 grand.
