Scenic Mkii Front Abs help please

Hi guys
So I have a 2004 Scenic and last week I had a check abs message on dash.
I had a look round and the front o/s had been cabled tied in place and had been sliced open half way where it had been tied.
So anyway I ordered a new sensor and this morning thought oh I'll just look at the Haynes manual to see what that says and it's telling me I have to take the front wheel bearing out to be able to remove the sensor [emoji16] [emoji16] .
Please tell me thats not the case as I thought it was just a case if unclipping it
On another note yesterday a started getting a Stop error on the dash saying braking fault the pads are all fine and fluid levels are OK I'm hoping that that's also linked to the abs also , I have hooked it up to my Bluetooth obd2 reader and no faults are showing with that.
Thanks for any advise.
