ok - now that im back in the coutry I have finnaly had a chance to look at this...

OK - dash console out, glove box out, radio and nav controls out, nav cd reader and receiver out, rear inner quarter panneling accessable.

aerial seems intact, been through the manual suggested and checked everything i felt related.

aerial point on nav disc reader/receiver is reading a healthy 4.52volts.

bus tests show that the aerial still appears disconnected.

i can't see any easy way to test the back half of the aerial (under rear head liner).

or may be there is something else i should check?

are there any boosters, linkages, earth points etc that may have come loose between the receiver (disc reader) and the bolted on aerial and fixings?

thanks guys

(and in before you ask im in the army so i don't get much time to tinker hence the time to reply.)
