Hi there.

It's been my experience when stripping down bumpers for repair before repainting, that any plastic which is differently coloured/textured is of the clip on type, attached to the main bumper.

It is quite tricky to remove those without causing damage - you need to have confidence in what you are doing, but respect for the fragility of the items involved.

I usually start at one of the ends of the piece I'm removing, carefully inserting a large flat-tip screwdriver under, and gingerly working my way along - resist the temptation to just tug/pull at it - plastic clips are very easy to break, and a lot easier to fit, than to remove.

Take your time, and it will be fine.
