Laguna II electronic handbrake solved

Afternoon all

Just thought i would quickly post something up about the handbrake in a Laguna i bought.

I got the car cheap, very cheap, as the auto handbrake wasn't working (the previous owner had to disengaged the handbrake via the emergency handle). I had intended to convert to a manual handbrake, but thought it was worth seeing if i could fix the automatic one first

This is what i found underneath the rear access panel (where the tank sender lives), beneath the rear seat

That red wire is the main 60a power supply to the unit, and had chafed though completely severing the connection.

1 bullet connector, some self amalgamating tape and a reset as well Reset electronic handbrake,LOOK HERE and we're fully functional again!

Be well worth checking yours before scrapping / paying for a new unit.
