1998 Scenic rear number plate lamp holder....
just a few pence short of £30. The original one melted,so no option but to buy new from a dealer (who sympathised with my disgust at the price of the spare part, but wouldn't give me trade discount as the part had to be specially ordered in).
Coin is for size reference only, but probably is equal to the material cost in the assembly - which despite its inflated price did not come with a bulb
Why did you HAVE to buy one from a dealer though?
IF you were not happy with the price, You could have checked
for a breaking Lag II and there are atleast 2 specialist Renault breakers on the t'internet that would (at a guess) have given you a more reasonable quote.
My example is my broken indicator on the car now, Renault dealer wants £40 odd before VAT, I found one chap breaking his espace on
£10+ £5 p+p.
If I get pulled over in the mean time (I highly doubt as its the lense cap thats been smashed off) I will say "Thankyou officer for bringing that to my attention.
