I once had a good deed done to me. Many years ago when I was in the Forces I used to hitch hike from Plymouth to Blackpool, I found out it was quicker than the train!
I had been dropped off somewhere near Birmingham when a car stopped for me, the driver asked me where I was going, I told him Blackpool so he just said ok i'll take you there, we drove about 30 miles when he told me he would have to change cars???, he explained he would have to drop me off and he would return in about ten minutes, I was slightly worried about this but it was in a well lit public area so I thought I would wait and see what happened. He returned and then explained that he was a test driver for one of the car companies and his job was simply to clock up mileage on the cars to test components for a car maker company but he had already done enough mileage on the first one!
Currently in davesss's garage:
2002 Laguna Sports Tourer 1.8 Dynamique Moondust VF1KGOB, Fiat Siecento Micheal Schumaker, Kawasaki KLE M/Cycle and a cheap Mountain Bike.
