Looking for opinions on the possibility of repairing this damage. Bought the car as a Cat C without viewing (fail lol) and got it delivered today with the damage seen in the attached pics.
If anyone has any tips/guide to removing the sill (spot welded I presume) that'd be great
Trying to look but hard to say from these images about damage can you show an image of full side of car ...may be a bit more involved than you think here hence a Cat C
You need to look closely at the door/wing gaps ...trying to straighten out this area on a car can be tough going depending on damage as the jacking points are in this area meaning they are strengthened
Yes would agree that it may be a good start ...If it is just sill damage you may be able to cut outer sill of and if inner dented with luck you may be able to pull it with a panel puller
If the door opens and shuts without dragging on the catch, the pillars won't have moved far if at all.
Your best bet is to pull the inner sill trim off and lift the carpet to see if damage extends to the floor.
You'll be able to see if the inner sill has moved too.
It's gonna be a big job, whatever you find.
Type ' damaged sill replacement' into youtube and see if theres any vids.
