Re: Simple Laguna II electric handbrake question
Shouldn't do that.
From memory, release depends on clutch being released and throttle enough to satisfy the internal level/strain monitor.
Gearbox switch only on autos but would need to check memory on that.
If it is releasing on throttle only I would suspect the clutch switch. This is the middle one with the long lever actuator.
Has an internal position sensor which the controls read to "guess" the bite point for the proper time to release.
They do get kicked out of position so may simply need tweaking back in place.
Reason i also suspected the gearbox switch, is that the car will only start with the clutch depressed - which i assumed was as a result of the car thinking that it's already in gear.
I'll get a multi meter on it tomorrow and see what the switch is up to - i assume that the switch is on the bottom of the 5 speed box?
