The HID headlamps in the Laguna ll are set for RHD. The LHD units have a different part number. The dip beam bulb is set at an angle and in order to save money the Valeo (?) headlights have no switch (as most cars with HID headlamps do have) so that the lights can be set for driving on the right. My mate at Hella (who make the poorly functioning auto lights/wiper unit for Renault) tells me that this saves about 2-3 euros per lamp!

Foils cannot be used as the lenses are polycarbonate and a combination of the heat and the adhesive will damage them.
