Renaults MUST have their Cambelts done every 70,000 miles or 5 Years, whichever is the sooner. If NOT done one risks a wrecked engine, best to have the water pump done at the same time. The K4M engine has easily a 200,000 life.
Consider the clutch.
Our 2nd keycard cost 160 2 years ago.
Once done & the scuttle drains cleared (forum Search) then IMHO it'll serve you virtually cost free until the next cambelt change is due, Apart from the usual battery, MOT & servicing costs. BTW I'm on my 5th Scenic & currently have TWO.
How much is a new cambelt at a garage including labour? The previous owner said its not had anything like that done.

I will run it for a week or so then pay for a service.
