OK - here I go again - next installment in getting the Xenon headlamps working as intended. Shortly after having 2 bright eyes again - they decided to look down all the time - not helpful around the dark lanes of deepest Hampshire!! Self-levelling headlamps are great until they stop self-levelling. So - found the info I needed here and discovered the front ride height sensor had creatively disconnected itself. Nearside lower suspension arm - short plastic link connects between front edge of lower arm and adjacent body mounted sensor unit. Reconnected link and - hey presto - they looked up where they should have been again. For info when checking the system, it initialises when you first insert the keycard. If the headlamps are on, you will see the beams drop and then come up again. Otherwise, your trusty assistant (wife, son, neighbour, etc) will be able to see the movement of the reflector inside the lamp housing if you're doing this in the daylight.
Now - about the tyre pressure system...........
