Hi,why do u wana remove the bumper for mate.I have the same problem on two mk1 clios.Its more likley to come from the water pump/gasket or the water pipe which runs across the front mid section of the engine behind the manifold but i may be wrong as a diesel engine has different layout.It seems like its only leaking under pressure ie when the car is being driven.After a drive,park up and straightaway look under the timing belt side of the engine.Use of a torch and cardboard on the floor should narrow it down as to exactly where the leak is coming from.Thats how i nailed mine.
