Is GPS speed more reliable that speedo?

Hi, just a quick question;

when im cruising at 70 (by the speedo) i find lots of people are overtaking me or follow really close behind, and all i am thinking is for f sake, im going at the limit.

so i used my gps on N95 and although the car was saying 70 on the speedo, i was actually doing 65-66!

Anyway, when its at 70 by GPS, the speedo is reading 75'ish, but RPM in 5th gear is dead on 3,500, which seems 'right'.

Question is, can i trust the GPS or do i continue going by the GPS, do not wanna be pulled over by a strict police officer.
