I use a tomtom satnav in the van, and has been said the speedo underreads a fraction, say 4/5mph compared to the 'nav. I must admit though average speed check works on the motorway (which seems to be every motorway at the moment!) I stick with the speedo to be on the safe side. Of course this means just about everyone else (especially HGV's) go thundering past.
