I use a TomTom and the bus/skip (can you tell I'm not happy with it at the moment ) over-reads 1-2mph, so I'm happy that the speedo is fairly accurate, but I agree with Horatio that the gradiant and the number of bends does have an impact on what the GPS states as the sampled speed.
