A 54 Plate is 11 years old, bound to wear out.
I believe the Phase2 2006 onwards addressed some of the reliability problems. BUT whatever Scenic you buy, if the DPO hasn't done scuttle drains, you will always get electrical niggles. Five Scenics now, 2 still owned, both Petrol with 100K miles. Done two windows, one alternator, one Clutch & 2 wheelbearings, apart from usual servicing.
Can't afford owt that new, so cannot comment.
Do remember that Most, only come to fora when they have a problem, NO-One ever posts how GOOD their motor has been.
